While Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr) is Nascar racing in Monaco, Mickey Rourke’s bid bad, Ivan Vanko, struts onto the track to show off his homemade weaponry.

Mickey brings a whole load of menace as he strides through the race, slashing cars in half with his electro-whips until he’s face-to-face with Stark. The piece de resistance though, is when Pepper Potts hands Stark a briefcase containing a portable Iron Man suit that swiftly dresses Tony in itself.

It’s thanks to some mightily impressive FX work that the audacious moment is executed with such pizzazz. Just as audiences were lifting their jaws from the floor, the scene drags you back in as the adversaries start scrapping.
